a moment, a choice

This project is a celebration of individuality, connection, and the tangible power of photography. Each person who visits my apartment is invited to select an object—something that speaks to them or catches their attention. I then capture a Polaroid portrait of them with their chosen object. These portraits, spontaneous and personal, are collected in a growing family-style album that tells the story of these shared moments.

The Polaroid is central to this project, not just as a means of capturing an image, but as a way to transform the ephemeral into the tangible. Each Polaroid becomes an object in itself—unique, imperfect, and irreplaceable. The physicality of the photograph mirrors the intimacy of the encounter, turning each image into a keepsake of connection.

Through the interplay of people and the objects they choose, this series creates a narrative that blurs the lines between individuality and shared experience. The Polaroid’s analog charm and immediacy breathe warmth into the portraits, making every image a fragment of something timeless and deeply human.

A Moment, A Choice invites viewers to reflect on the beauty of small moments, the stories hidden in objects, and the enduring power of photography as both art and artifact.
